Lesson #23 – GIVE
This week, we move forward to Principle 8 (below), where we put our faith into action. It is through our actions that we demonstrate to God and others the commitment we have to our faith in Jesus Christ. An aspect of living out our faith is giving back to others. We are never more like God than when we give–not just of our money or our things, but with our very selves. This can take many forms, and we can look to the Bible for examples of what God expects from us when it comes to giving.
In scripture, we are taught to give of our time, lend others our ear, share their burdens, and above all, share with them God’s love and the joy we have in Him and because of Him. During the Christmas season this year, ask God to reveal to you ways in which you might give to those around you.
“Give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the merciful Father, the God from whom all help comes! He helps us in all our troubles, so that we are able to help others who have all kinds of troubles, using the same help that we ourselves have received from God.” Corinthians 1:3

“Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.” Galatians 6:1
