This Thursday is Linda’s Testimony!
Come listen how God has restored and blessed her life as a result of surrendering her life to his.
“I signed up for a Bible study here called “Life’s Healing Choices,” based on the eight principles of CR. I learned some painful truths about myself. For example, instead of expecting men to heal my hurts, I learned that hope and healing come only through Jesus. At the end of the study, our leader suggested that we go to CR and sign up for a step study. I didn’t waste any time!
My first step study, was a turning point. I finally began believing the truth of God’s Word. God does love me—even when I don’t love myself. I also began to understand that I don’t have to be perfect—in fact, I can’t be. But when I fall down, God is right there to help me back up.
The step 4 inventory was eye-opening. I had never heard of love-and relationship-addiction, but my sponsor said I should be the poster child for it. Now I began walking in light. I made prayer and Bible reading a priority and started turning my hurts over to the Lord.
I have now been involved in 5 Step Studies. Jesus keeps revealing things I need to surrender. I turn things over to Him every day, and I often fall flat on my face. He never gives up on me, though. I’ve taken many blue chips…and that’s okay!
Now I give back because of what Jesus has done for me. Several years ago, I went on a mission trip to the Amazon. I am a greeter and an Open Share Group leader here at CR. ”
