Lesson #13 ADMIT!
At this point in our recovery, we might start to wonder what importance is found in admitting our wrongs to another trusted person. We’ve likely been keeping secrets for quite some time and we may feel as though we stand to lose something by admitting them.
Contrary to what we feel, the truth is that secrets lose their power and much of their hold on us when they are spoken and we admit them out loud. Keeping secrets to ourselves takes a toll on us, often causing us to maintain unhealthy habits and suffer a loss of self-respect and even energy. The only things we really have to lose are the pain and the difficulty involved in creating and keeping our secrets. Join us this week as we discuss what we stand to gain when we admit and let go of our secrets.

“Happy are the pure in heart.” Matthew 5:8
Step 5: We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” James 5:16
