IT’S OUR ANNUAL CELEBRATE RECOVERY KICK-OFF !
Thursday, January 4th
Dinner @ 5:30 PM • Large Group @ 6:30 PM
Ballast Point Campus — 5101 Bayshore Blvd.
This week, we begin our 15th year of Celebrate Recovery at South Tampa Fellowship!
The biblical principles in Celebrate Recovery are the foundation of God’s road map to recovery, wholeness, growth, and spiritual maturity. During Large Group (starts at 6:30), you will hear how God healed Pastor John and Cheryl Baker’s hurts, hang-ups, and habits through their individual recovery journeys. You’ll be inspired as you hear how God healed and restored their broken marriage.
You’ll also learn how Celebrate Recovery got started. It’s a story of God using an ordinary man to do something extraordinary. In 1991, God gave John a vision for the ministry which he shared with Pastor Rick Warren in a 13-page letter*. And it was then that Celebrate Recovery was born.
25 years later, that vision is thriving and transforming lives all over the world. 3.5 million people have gone through the program, and Celebrate Recovery is currently in over 30,000 churches, 42 state prison systems, and several universities. It has been translated into 20 languages.
You will not want to miss it. Join us as we celebrate and praise God for what God has done and what He is doing in and through our Celebrate Recovery Ministry. Be sure to bring a friend with you, and we’ll see you Thursday!
Recovery Reminder
Principle 1: Realize I’m not God. I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and that my life is unmanageable.
“Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires.” Matthew 5:3
Step 1: We admitted we were powerless over our addictions and compulsive behaviors, that our lives had become unmanageable.
“I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.” Romans 7:18
Thursday’s Dinner: Cindy is cooking Chicken Florentine with buttered noodles, broccoli with cheese, & a Greek salad.
