Testimony – Jenny
How great when those who have gone before us are willing to invest in others by sharing what they have learned along their journey of recovery. So many times God touches our lives through the lives of others. Come this Thursday night and allow God to encourage and strengthen you through Jenny’s testimony. Below is a glimpse at how God has worked in Jenny’s life. When we stop looking everywhere else for happiness and take the time to evaluate our lives, we find that a relationship with God is the real path to peace and joy. Praise God that He has used those of us at CR to bring this about!
As the years moved on, I numbed myself to the pain I felt from any hurts with a combination of antidepressants and alcohol. I was exhausted by life and oblivious to my pain. I did not understand why I was not truly happy, I had a beautiful family, a great job and money for whatever was needed. However, I had no energy, I did not feel comfortable in my own skin and I felt I had no voice in my unloving marriage. When I look back now, and as I write this testimony, I see clearly there was one major thing missing in my life up to this point. I was missing a real relationship with God as well as a plan to improve my life.
