Testimony–CHRIS
An excerpt from Chris’ testimony:
“The theme of my story tonight will be taken from Luke 15:17–‘When he finally came to his senses.’ Many of us know the story of the prodigal son. It is a story of selfishness, entitlement, and, finally, redemption. My own story mirrors the parable of the lost son that we find in the Bible. I was in my own pig pen for well over 20 years before I came to my senses and was welcomed home by both my earthly and heavenly fathers.”
“Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need.” Luke 15:13-15
Recovery Reminder
Principle 4: Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust.
“Happy are the pure in heart.” Matthew 5:8
Step 5: We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” James 5:16
