This Thursday Lesson #14 – READY!
What does it mean to be entirely ready? This week we’ll be talking about what it means to be ready to let go of our character defects. In other words, being ready to hand them over to God. We’ve spent anywhere from two to maybe even thirty-two years forming these defects of character, hang-ups, or habits. Like weeds in a garden, they’ve developed roots!
In principle 5, you and God–together–are going after these defects and habits…all of them. Join us this week as we learn to release control of our past and current behavior, placing it in the wonderfully capable hands of God, who is always ready to respond with love, acceptance, and patience.
“Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him to help you do it and He will.” Psalm 37:5
Recovery Reminder
Principle 5: Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.
“Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires.” Matthew 5:6
Step 6: We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” James 4:10
