TESTIMONIES – Mac & Mary
As we look toward this holiday weekend that is approaching, there is often a lot of talk about freedom and independence. This week, we will hear the testimony of a couple, Mac and Mary, who have sought and found true freedom. Their freedom was found in Christ as they walked together through the steps of Celebrate Recovery.
Poor choices in their youth had led to Mac’s addictions and to Mary’s codependency. God turned their mistakes into a miracle for their church and family. Join us as we celebrate their independence from their sinful past as well as our own freedom that is available to us through Christ our Savior.
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5 : 1
HAVE A SAFE & HAPPY 4TH OF JULY !
Principle 4: Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust.
“Happy are the pure in heart.” Matthew 5:8
Step 5: We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” James 5:16
2014 Celebrate Recovery Summit
Pray for our leaders as they attend the 2014 Celebrate Recovery Summit in Orlando next week (July 8 – 11). Pray that the Lord would bless their time there, grant them safe travels, and that they would return refreshed and renewed.
