Testimony – MARK

This Thursday at 6:30 PM, we’ll hear an incredible story from Mark of how surrender and obedience led to the Lord taking His rightful place in Mark’s life. Our fast-paced society makes it so very easy to get caught up in and focused on the things that are immediately before us. Career, family, and friends are all good things, but we can quickly and unintentionally shift our focus from God and onto the very blessings He has given us. If we’re not careful to keep our eyes on Him, those blessings – a job, a spouse, a child, a talent – can become a distraction capable of preventing us from doing what and being who God designed us to do and be. Come hear how the Lord has guided Mark to establish a better balance of priorities in his life, and let’s be encouraged to do the same.

1 Peter 3:15 “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”

“It was all about capital ME. There was no God in any of my thinking. The work habits of my youth were now becoming workaholic habits that would later almost destroy our marriage. Six days a week of work was now the new norm. I thrived in that environment. I was a full-blown workaholic, slowly on my way to becoming an alcoholic. Working those long days, I needed something to unwind.”
