Testimony – KENDALL

“For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”  Hebrews 12:11

Come celebrate the joy found through working the principles as we hear from Kendall this week. Here is a preview of what she will share:

“For so long I had it all together on the outside but I was shallow, judgmental and exhausted from pretending like I was happy. I woke up most mornings unsatisfied even though by the world’s standards I had everything I needed to experience full gratification. Through Celebrate Recovery  I have found freedom through accepting my weaknesses and admitting my struggles. God is changing my perspective and has imprinted on my heart that this world is not my home.  He is aligning the desires of my heart with His will for my life. I am so thankful that God allowed me to endure the pain I did, because now I know what true freedom tastes like.”

“’Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.'”  Isaiah 1:18

Recovery Reminder

Principle 3: Consciously choose to commit my life and will to Christ’s care and control.

“Happy are the meek.” Matthew 5:5

Step 3: We made a decision to turn our lives and our wills over to the care of God.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1
