Men’s Coin Ceremony

“For I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me the strength and power.”   Philippians 4:13

In Principle 2, we’ve been discussing how Jesus seeks to have a very real and personal relationship with each of us. When we accept this relationship and His offer to join us in our recovery, we are placing our trust in Him to help us do what we are unable (and oftentimes unwilling) to do on our own. And as we all have discovered, any time we are in a close and growing  relationship with someone, it changes us. They change us.

It is no different with Christ. When we pursue a relationship with Him, we will be changed. Come join us this week as we celebrate with some of our fellow CR attenders at our Men’s Coin Ceremony. Come hear how God’s grace has changed them, renewed their lives, and enabled true recovery to take place.

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”   2 Corinthians 12:9

Recovery Reminder

Principle 2: Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover.

“Happy are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”  Matthew 5:4

Step 2: We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

“For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose.”  Philippians 2:13
