Testimony – SHEA

We’ve heard it said that we cannot go anywhere – run any distance or stoop to any depth – where the Lord cannot reach us. Though we may be out of our own control, we are never too far for His grasp. This is such an encouraging truth to remember, especially when we find ourselves in less than ideal cicumstances, wishing for a way out & a hand to help us in the right direction.

This week we will hear from Shea as he shares how the Lord has sought him in any and all places. Let the knowledge that the Lord is always pursuing you encourage you to do the same – pursue Him. No matter where you find yourself right now, physically or spiritually, make the choice to seek & then follow the Lord’s leading.

“I had completely forgotten about this.  So I get up, with blood all over me and more hung over than I had ever been before, getting ready the best I could, and going to our meeting place.  Walking in, I realize that there is no way that I am going to be able to sit down and hide everything that happened that last night, and everything that was going on inside me.  So I sit down, look him in the eye and just start bawling.  In that four-hour lunch, I decided that I had never given God full control of my life and that before I could “give up,” I had to give this Christian thing one hundred percent.”

“The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him.” Lamentations 3:25

Recovery Reminder

Principle 3: Consciously choose to commit my life and will to Christ’s care and control.

“Happy are the meek.” Matthew 5:5

Step 3: We made a decision to turn our lives and our wills over to the care of God.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1
