Lesson #10 – Spiritual Inventory – Part 1

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test my thoughts. Point out anything you find in me that makes you sad, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” Psalm 139:23-24

In this first part of our Spiritual Inventory, we begin the process of coming clean. Our aim is to openly examine ourselves and confess our faults to ourselves, to God, as well as to another person in whom we trust. As we start this process, it is important to continually remind ourselves to keep our inventory and evaluation balanced, meaning that we include both the good and the bad regarding our past experiences and circumstances.

This evaluation process will walk us through taking a closer look at our relationships, our priorities, and even our integrity. As you think through your inventory this week, pray that the Lord would reveal things to you and that you, in turn, would be open to seeing them.

“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57
