Lesson #9: INVENTORY
Writing down our inventory is a crucial step in the recovery process. It helps us organize our thoughts and focus on recalling people and events, including those that we may have forgotten or repressed in some way. Reflecting on our past, we seek to identify the things that have played important roles–both positive and negative–in our lives.
As you set out to write your inventory, continue to develop your recovery support team, and remember that you are not alone. Also be mindful to pray continually, asking the Lord to encourage and guide you through each step.
“‘Come, let’s talk this over!’ says the Lord; ‘no matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can take it out and make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you white as wool!'” Isaiah 1:18
