Testimony: STEVE

Steve Holland serves on staff here at South Tampa Fellowship as one of our Worship Ministers. He has served in full-time ministry since 2005 & has spent the past 5 years serving in both the Student and Worship Ministries here at STF. He is married, has two daughters, & is expecting a third child this coming March. Steve was born in Whitwell, TN (near Chattanooga) & attended college in Bristol, TN, where he played baseball & obtained a bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry.

Steve has been passionate about music since he was a young child & has been blessed with opportunities to lead worship in many different ministry settings over the last 12 years. Throughout his life & the different (and sometimes difficult) situations & circumstances he has found himself in, Steve has become very aware of the awesome mercy & grace of our God. Because of God’s continual out-pouring of love & acceptance, Steve seeks to honor the LORD in every area of his life & every facet of his worship, becoming a “living sacrifice” as it says in Romans 12. He has a hunger to know God’s word, so that it will transform his worship & his song writing.

Join us this week as Steve shares his heart & his amazing God story–a story of brokenness being transformed into wholeness! See you Thursday night!

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God–this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–His good, pleasing and perfect will.”  Romans 12:1-2

Recovery Reminder

Principle 7: Reserve daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, & prayer in order to know God and His will for my life & to gain the power to follow His will.

Step 11: Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and power to carry that out.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.”  Colossians 3:16
