Testimony – TERI
This week we have the awesome privilege of hearing from Teri as she openly and honestly shares her story with us. Between now and Thursday night, please be in prayer for Teri as she prepares to share and also be in prayer for yourself and others who will hear her, asking that the Lord would speak to all through her story. Here is a just a snapshot of what Teri will share:
“I did finally surrender that identity. I am no longer a label. I can no longer be placed in a box – this is true freedom. I am simply me – Teri, a person created by God for God. I have been learning that my identity belongs totally to Christ. I am HIS. I am not gay or straight; I am a woman who wants to live right in God’s eyes. I am a person who follows Christ and is being renewed and transformed into what He intended me to be for His purpose and glory. I don’t need to be in a box to belong. Purely and simply, I belong to my creator. My battle is not over, but through God’s strength and the power of the Holy Spirit that lives in me, I will not be overcome. I will live in the light of God’s glory as He leads me on to victory in Jesus’ name.”
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6
Recovery Reminder
Principle 7: Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.
Step 11: Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and power to carry that out.
