Testimony – Joe
How great when those who have gone before us are willing to invest in others by sharing what they have learned along their journey of recovery. So many times God touches our lives through the lives of others. Come this Thursday night and allow God to encourage and strengthen you through Joe’s testimony. Below is a glimpse at how God has worked in Joe’s life. When we follow the call of God on our lives, He is free to transform us. Many times opening us up to those root issues that take hold of our lives and keep us stuck. There is freedom in the power of God.
“I was attending AA in jail when another inmate asked me if I had every heard of CR and that I should be going there instead of AA since I read the Bible everyday. CR has been a tool that has helped me keep my foundation rooted in Jesus Christ for my recovery. The jail chaplin, also the ministry leader at Lakeview Community Church, encouraged me to follow God’s call to CR in my life. I have been encouraged beyond words on how to continue to keep my focus on recovery. I have gotten into the root of my insecurity, fears, selfishness and ego problems…my sins. I have learned what sin is in my life and how I am not the most important person.”
James 5:16 “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so you may be healed.”
