RECOVERY ISSUES

CHEMICALLY DEPENDENT

Groups for Men and Women
If you find that you cannot quit drinking or using entirely, even when you honestly want to, you are probably an alcoholic and/or addict. If that is the case, you may be suffering from a problem that only a spiritual solution will conquer. The focus of this group is on tapping into God’s power that enables you to live one day at a time without using any mood- or mind-altering substances.HURTS, HABITS, AND HANG-UPS
Groups for Men and Women
Hurts are emotional reactions to another person’s behavior or to a disturbing situation. Hang-ups are negative attitudes we use to cope with people or adversity. This group is a place to share with others who have similar hurts, habits and hang-ups. Participants learn to break free from feelings and behaviors that bind them, and celebrate God’s healing.

CODEPENDENCY

Group for Women
To the codependent woman, control (or the lack of it) is central to every aspect of life. This group is for women struggling with the compulsion to rescue and take care of others. These women have difficulty setting boundaries and recognizing their own worth. Participants learn to express their needs and wants in healthy ways.

COSA – Codependent Women in a Relationship with a Sexually Addicted Man

Group for Women
Sexual addiction and its causes are largely unknown to most people. Many of us blame ourselves for the behavior of sexual addicts, telling ourselves, “If only I were more” sexual, attractive, thinner, etc. Sometimes we participate in activities that leave us feeling abused. This group provides support, and helps women understand their own issues. Participants can then confront their own denial and behavior while gaining insight into their spouse’s behavior and their sexual addiction.

LOVE AND RELATIONSHIP ADDICTION

Group for Women
This group provides a safe place to deal with depression, isolation, lack of trust, and the unhealthy use of love and relationships as a way to achieve worth. The goal is to heal through an intimate relationship with Christ, to gain a rebirth of the heart, and to fill that heart with a love for God, others, and self.

SEXUAL/PHYSICAL/EMOTIONAL ABUSE

Group for Women
This group is for those who have endured past or are enduring present physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse, including victims of domestic violence and family members of abusive alcoholics. The effects of abuse can be traumatic, resulting in a diminished self worth. This leads to people-pleasing and always placing others above self, which ultimately leads to more abuse. The goal is to enter into and maintain recovery. Recovery is a two-fold process–the first step is healing from the traumas done to us in our past, and the second step is healing from the influence these past experiences continue to have in our present lives.

FREEDOM FROM ANGER

Group for Men
Anger has many faces, all of them destructive. This group is for those who find that anger is their first response to problems of any size. It can significantly damage our behaviors and attitudes, destroying important and intimate relationships. The focus of this group is on allowing Jesus to help us learn to use our emotions according to God’s design and change how we relate to others.

SEXUAL ADDICTION

Group for Men
Lust begins as an overpowering desire for pleasurable relief from inner pain, emptiness, or insecurity. This group is for men seeking recovery from lust and compulsive sexual behaviors. The group provides fellowship and is a safe place to share struggles, pain, and victories. Participants will support each other while being held accountable for their actions.
