What is Celebrate Recovery?

When people hear the word ‘recovery’ they think it only means drug and alcohol addiction. What sets Celebrate Recovery apart is that it deals with all kinds of hurts such as job loss, divorce, neglect or abandonment in childhood, racial injustice, loss of relationship such as a parent, sibling, or spouse, living with terminal illness or impairment, chemical dependency, triggers of unresolved anger or pain, dealing with unmet expectations of life in this world, healing from being treated as a victim of an accident or crime, unforgiveness, hopelessness or depression, guilt or self-condemnation, etc. These and many other hurts trigger habits and hang-ups such as codependency, anger, grief, addictive or compulsive behaviors like food addiction, gambling, smoking, nail-biting, road rage, sexual or relationship addiction, alcohol or drug abuse, prescription self-medicating, insomnia, depression, low self-esteem, and even suicidal thoughts.

Celebrate Recovery is a safe place where, together, we find hope and healing in the power of Jesus Christ. By focusing on God’s healing power as we address those broken places inside us, we begin to grow spiritually and experience freedom from addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This life-changing process brings about newfound peace, serenity, and joy, drawing us into ever-stronger personal relationships with God and others. This is where true life change happens!

If you want freedom from life’s hurts, hang-ups, and habits, we encourage you to check out Celebrate Recovery South Tampa on Thursday night.

We meet every Thursday night at South Tampa Fellowship 52 weeks a year, even when Thursday falls on a holiday!

You do NOT need to be a member of South Tampa Fellowship to attend Celebrate Recovery.

We look forward to meeting you!
